The Royal Tank Museum Celebrated the 63rd Birthday of His Majesty King Abdullah II and the Museum’s 7th Anniversary
The Royal Tank Museum hosted a special celebration in honor of the 63rd birthday of His Majesty King Abdullah II and the museum’s 7th anniversary since its inauguration. The event welcomed families and visitors of all ages to enjoy a day of free admission, rich with interactive experiences, cultural performances, and educational activities. One of the day’s standout activities was the Tank Crew Experience, where guests had the opportunity to step inside the Khalid tank; famously operated by His Majesty during his military service and learn how tank crews function in real combat conditions. Children expressed their artistic talents through Waragami workshops, painting mugs and tote bags in a creative, hands-on environment. Families also enjoyed a variety of fun stations including face painting, coloring, playdough, puzzles, and building blocks, which kept young visitors entertained throughout the day. The event also featured live performances by the Al Jeel Circassian Folklore Group and the Jordanian Armed Forces Band, which added a patriotic atmosphere. This dual celebration not only honored His Majesty’s enduring leadership and service but also highlighted the museum’s growing role over the past seven years in preserving Jordan’s military heritage and offering engaging public programs that connect history with community.
