The Royal Tank Museum hosted a major national celebration, marking the 79th anniversary of the independence of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The event drew an impressive turnout of over 8,000 visitors of all ages, who came together to honor the nation’s heritage, unity, and enduring legacy.
The celebration included a special temporary exhibition documenting Jordan’s journey to independence and the evolution of its military forces. Children enjoyed interactive and educational activities designed to instill national values and raise awareness about the role of the Jordan Armed Forces in shaping the country’s history.
The day was brought to life through a series of live military performances, featuring the Jordanian Armed Forces Band, Public Security Directorate Band, the Silent March from the Royal Guard, Military Free Fall Parachute show by the Special Forces, the Taekwondo performance by the military sport team, and a live tank show showcasing tanks and armored vehicles from the era of the Great Arab Revolt and Jordan’s early independence.
Traditional Jordanian culture was also celebrated through musical and folkloric performances, including a show by the Jordanian singer Saad Abu Tayeh and the Forsan Al-Badia Jordanian Heritage Troupe.
Mr. Nark Sejaja, the Director General of the Royal Tank Museum, stated:
“Our celebration of Independence Day at the museum reflects our belief that the museum is more than a place to preserve military artifact, it is a national institution to communicate the values and meaning of independence to future generations, fostering loyalty and pride in our homeland and our King
