The Royal Tank Museum Celebrated His Majesty King Abdullah II’s Silver Jubilee
The Royal Tank Museum celebrated the Silver Jubilee of His Majesty King Abdullah II with a two-day event on June 7–8, 2024. In honor of 25 years of His Majesty’s leadership and dedication to Jordan, the museum opened its doors free of charge, inviting the public to enjoy a variety of cultural, educational, and entertainment activities for all ages. The celebration featured a rich program filled with interactive family-friendly experiences, including face painting, children’s games, creative workshops, and live shows. Over the two days, visitors enjoyed engaging activities such as building blocks, puzzles, and playdough stations, as well as performances and interactions. The Jordanian Armed Forces Band also performed throughout the event, adding patriotic spirit to the event. In collaboration with Waragami, the museum also organized artistic workshops for children, including quilling, origami, and painting. Hundreds of children took part in the sessions, adding color and creativity to the national celebration. A major highlight was the live tank show titled “25 Years of Development,” which took place both evenings. The show illustrated the progress of Jordan’s armored capabilities over the past quarter-century. The evenings concluded with live musical performances, featuring Jordanian star Saad Abu Tayeh on Friday and Superstar Diana Karazon on Saturday. This celebration reflected the Royal Tank Museum’s ongoing commitment to honoring Jordan’s leadership, military history, and national identity, while engaging the community through accessible, enriching experiences.
